Working hand-in-hand with our physicians

Our physical therapists have worked with our physicians since 2004. They are a diverse and well-qualified group, which have invested significant time in furthering their education, observing our surgeons in the operating room, and performing rounds with them while treating patients.

They base their care on the current evidence that exists in the practice of physical therapy, the specific needs of the patient, and any parameters set forth by our physicians. Our Physical Therapists work hand in hand with the physicians and share information regarding patients' status on a daily basis.

Our lead Physical Therapist is David Light, PT, DPT, MTC. David holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and is a Certified Manual Therapist. David's extensive postgraduate training, along with a decade of experience, allows him to work with a variety of orthopaedic impairments and attain excellent outcomes.

The team of physical therapists in the department are focused on providing patients with the knowledge they need about their impairment, progressing them as indicated, and doing this in a caring and compassionate way.
